The pain has begun to propagate up her head to her temple and down through her neck and shoulder. She described her pain as a consistent 8 on a scale from 0 to 10. Simultaneously, she has been experiencing unrelated headaches daily for the last 10 years or so. She says the intensity of her daily headaches range from 4-5 to 8 out of 10 depending on the day. Her previous, futile, treatment attempts include seeing a neurologist, massage therapy, chiropractic work, acupuncture, and prescription headache medication. Before ASTR, Shawna describes her current overall pain as an 8 on a scale from 0 to 10. After just one session with Dr. Jacobs, her head pain was completely gone! When asked what she thought about ASTR treatment, Shawna said, “Great”.\n\n Alright Shauna tell me what’s going on with your jaw and headache. So I had a root canal two weeks ago and I had a bite block in and when they, it was for about an hour when they took the bite block out I could, it took me a while to get my jaw to close and it was really painful. So you had muscle spasm after that, okay. That pain, that soreness in my jaw continued over the next couple of weeks we thought it was maybe an infection in the tooth still. But this past week the endodontic that I work for and my general dentist both figured out that there isn’t any more infection in the tooth.\n\n\n1:00- The tooth is doing fine, it’s actually they think a TMJ issue, the pain is in my jaw, in my ear, rating up to my temple, my neck my shoulder. How much pain from 0-10, 10 is emergency room. Probably 8 consistently. 8 consistently, okay. For this week. For this week like no relief. No relief. Before it was I would probably say at a 6 I was uncomfortable. After the root canal? Yea. Do you have any history of TMJ like pain in your jaw before or. No but I have been grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw for a really long time. I’ve had a night guard for probably a year or two. Before that I didn’t, I just, but every morning I wake up I’m biting down on that night guard so. Oh okay. So give me a brief history of your headaches, what’s going on with that, how long is it? I’ve had headaches for about ten years. Ten years, okay.\n\n\nAdvanced Soft Tissue Release (ASTR)\nInstrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)\n\nASTR website:\n\nASTR website:\n\nInstagram:\n\nFacebook:\n\nTwitter:\n\nLinkedIn:\n\nShop:\n\nFind A Provider:\n\n\n\nDisclaimer: Results may vary with each person and we cannot guarantee that you will experience the same results found in our testimonial and treatment videos. Each individual is different and one person’s success is not a guaranteed result. Currently as I type it's not bad but it has been the worst pain I have ever felt in my life 10 out of 10! The pain almost immediately goes away when I lay down, doesn't matter on my back or on my side or on my belly, the pain disappears! Been in and out of the doctors and still no solution. I've been told my neck was fractured, CT Scan disproved that, and I've been told it's a sinus headache, 1 week of medication with no results disproved that. I've come to think it may be cervicogenic and that would explain why when I lay down the pain goes away, because there is no weight on my neck in that position. It's been so dibilitating that sometimes when the pain spikes, it literally stops me in my tracks and all I can do is hold my head and bend over in an attempt to get that weight off my neck! I cannot imagine this woman dealing with this for 10 years! I've only had it 2 months and I think it's torture geez.Ginger A écrit: where are you located atSheLikesSteel écrit: I had an invasive sinus surgery where they went up through my gum and I was left with all of the facial symptoms (+ TMJ) afterwards. It's voodoo therapy. You cannot disinfect an infected tooth when it has a mile of microscopic canals. It can kill you!! Oral bacteria is the worst. I know this for a fact. It nearly killed me.
